I didn't start watching Ally until part-way through season 2, mostly because it was advertised as another American sex-obsessed show. Around the start of season 2 I remember Channel 4 adverts playing on the introduction of character Nell Porter, and as the season unravelled it became slightly more intriguing. Being male it might come as a shock when I say I love Ally Macbeal, albeit there's only certain things I like about it. First is the characters, they are so well developed, within a few minutes of meeting a character you know exactly how they will react to situations. The comic timing is impeccable and genuinely funny especially when they incorporate music into the humour. The incorporation of the legal battles is very intriguing and satisfies the academic part of my brain while the comedy takes care of the rest.
