Alan Partridge Series 2 is one of the funniest comedies I've seen. Even though it was made in 2003 it still has the ability to really make me laugh. Highly quotable and cleverly written, this is a comedy that I never tire of.

Alan Partridge is a failed chat show host that gets to host a late night radio show and supplements his income narrating on direct to DVD programs like 'The Boob Olympics', 'The Eurovision Thong Contest' and 'Wet Christmas' for a shady production company. His best friend Michael works in a petrol station and his PA, Lynn "That's a snazzy haircut. Is that your mother's money coming through?", is constantly by his side and both are the butt of a fair few of his jokes. He also has a girlfriend called Sonya from the Ukraine, who he basically uses for sex but has no real affection for, as he puts it "I love you, in a way" and "Well Sonya that was classic intercourse, so, thanks".

There are so many cleaver and witty lines in this show and the interaction between Alan and basically everyone else is incredibly funny and cringe worthy. The classic episode where he meets his doppelganger Dan, a successful business man with all the same mannerisms as Alan is hilarious, his perfect best friend - with just one slight difference.

There are so many things about this series that I could talk about but I would not want to spoil it for anyone. But I'm sure, like me you will find yourself quoting lines from the episodes for years to come. Plus the more you watch it the better it gets as you see how cleaver the writing is and you catch some of the subtleties you may have missed first time.

In my opinion, a true classic.
