The first season of Prison Break was huge and this had a lot to live up to... thankfully it did.

Scofield, Lincoln and the other inmates have now escaped Fox River Penetentiary and are all being tracked down by Mahone throughout the season, and Scofield is back to his old way, out-smarting and planning one step ahead of everyone. Mahone also has a dubious past and whilst trying to catch Scofield, he is also fighting his own actions.

The overall main plot of this season for the ex-inmates is to find the hidden fortune of Cooper, as well as proving Lincoln's innocence and there is a real sense of a battle against time. Each episode is very fast-paced and tense, but Scofield stays calm and keeps his popularity with the viewers.

Many people say this is better than the first season I personally prefer the first as it's set in the prison. Still, it's an amazing season and they really couldn't have done much better in a sequel season. The boxset is cheaper now and used to be quite expensive (£59.99) and is definitely worth it for the brilliant performances and some of the best Prison Break episodes to date, but if you haven't watched the first, you will be completely lost in the plot.
