I absolutely loved the Sex and City series when it was on TV and was gutted when it finished. However, I received the box set as a gift and was thrilled as I could watch my favourite TV programme whenever I wanted to. When I heard they were going to be making a film, I was ecstatic, however, I wasn't quite sure how this would work as a film. However, I enjoyed every minute of it!

Girls went crazy about this film as it was such a success and a very popular TV series which hadnt been on our screens for a while. Also, the four characters are people many of us can relate to. They have ups and downs in their relationships, have a love of fashion and shopping etc.

The film is based on the series which is based in New York, America which focuses mainly on the main character (Carrie Bradshaw) who is a writer about love and sex and who is about to get married to Mr Big. The film focusses on the running up to the day for Carrie and the wedding itself and what happens next. Does Carries day go as she had hoped? You'll need to watch the film to find out as I don't want to spoil it for you! The film also focusses on the other three character's lives as well and the highs and lows they face.

If you haven't seen the series, below is a brief description of the character's and what they have got up to until now:

Carrie Bradshaw - A writer about love and sex. She has a passion for shopping, clothes and shoes. Is about to get married to Mr Big.
Charlotte York - Ditzy Charlotte is someone everyone will like. Married with a child.
Samantha Jones - Loves nothing but sex, sex, sex!! Suffered from cancer in the series.
Miranda Hobbes - Has a child. Is the most serious out of the girls.

The film has been a huge success and runs for approximately 2 hours. The film ahs been up for 4 nominations and there are rumours going around that they may make a seoncd film. I hope so, as I have enjoyed every minute of it! The film is available at asda for £9.99
