Advantages: Everything, I love it!

Disadvantages: None for me!

Watching every single episode on television of Sex in the city I was so excited to hear that this film was being released in 2008 way after the series had come to an all to soon end for me.

Film Only Review:

So we're back in New York thee years on to catch up with the lives and loves of the fab four Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha. Plenty has changed in the passing years though true friendship hasn't of course and even though Carrie is now living with Big (who's real name we now find out is John for the first time!), Charlotte is still married and has an adopted little girl called Lilly, Miranda is married to Steve with their son in Brooklyn and Samantha now lives in L.A with an up and coming tv star who is her toyboy and rather gorgeous they still are of course in constant contact!

Carrie and 'Big' find the perfect apartment and trouble starts in Carries mind when she realises that if it doesn't work out between them she could end up with nothing and in her 40's and in the end the pair decide rather unromantically to get married to give her security and a claim to things if it all goes belly up. However the whole thing turns into a circus with the guest list going from 75 people to over 200, a Westwood designer dress being given to her and the second hand suit that Carrie was going to be wear being forgotten all about. Miranda finds out her marriage is on the rocks and at the dinner the night before she tells Big that he's mad to consider getting married and that things will go wrong which gives him the jitters as this is his third wedding!

Not unsurprisingly Carrie gets jilted at the alter, the honeymoon is already booked and Samantha arranges them all to go their on a girls only holiday with Carrie of course heartbroken. Then time follows and Samantha wonders if there's more to life than being a housewife to Smith and whether there is more to her existencea dn she's wanting some fun all over again with other men as she used to, Miranda is forced to look at who she is and why her marriage is ending, Charlotte receives some wonderful news but starts to panic things will go wrong for her and Carrie...well has to readjust to being approaching 40 and being single again and with the help of a new personal assistant, Louis from St Louis gets her life for once organised. However like the other ladies she is forced to look at her past mistakes as well and to try to carve out a new life for herself.

Is there a happy ending for our favourite ladies. Is there more to life than friendship and does true love exist? Watch this and the answer may follow!

My Opinion:

I have watched this film over and over and its true to say that I love it. Sex And The City Movie is a complete, longer episode in a way of The Sex In The City episodes/series. The soundtrack is superb, the locations are great including Mexico where they holiday and of course whether you like it or not there's the fashion....and the shoes!

The acting is superb though and the girls are fabulous and in this film I do feel that Sarah Jessica Parker put in an amazing and convincing performance of Carrie, maybe one I hadn't ever seen from her in any of the single episodes before even.

The chemistry between the ladies is fab, the sex scenes, though few and far between in this one are steamy, the language....well naughty at times. The main thing about this film is that it is a feel good one about true love and friendship, one that most of us never find and I love it!

Rated 15 and with a runtime of 145 minutes.
