Let me start by saying I'm a massive Skins fan and absolutely loved series 1 & 2. I never expected series 3 to improve on the old series but was surprised how different it was and although good in my opinion it started showing signs of the the writers running out of ideas and I struggled with the new characters. Introduction: This is channel 4's controversial drama about a group of teenagers who grapple with many issues ranging form sex, mental health, drugs, drink and much more. Series 3 does away with the established cast of series 1 & 2 and introduces a whole new cast keeping Effy and Pandora who we were from the original series. ... Read the complete review

INTRODUCTION Skins series 3 is the next installment to the well known and highly rated first two series of the teen drama, that follows a generation of characters through their two years of College, however as you most likely know that each series is based on one year, and as there is only two years in college the previous generation of characters are no more... This series of skins follows a new bunch of characters through their first year at roundview college, the series again shares the same formats in regard to following a day in the life of a character for each episode. MY PERSONAL VIEW Now as i only very recently watched ... Read the complete review

Unfortunatly series 3 didnt really come up to scratch for me. It wasnt nearly enough as series' 1 and 2. Im hoping series 4 will be better though so long as it keeps with the same cast, as was series 2 compared to #1. Ive just read that series 4 will definitly happen with the same cast so heres to hoping it gets better!! Series 3 follows the same format as before and follows a different character every week which im glad they kept. The end episode is always about everyone mostly. I dont think id love the characters as much if we didnt get the chance to learn so much about them this way. This series focuses on Tony's sister, Effy and her friends ... Read the complete review

I had never watched the first two series of skins, despite it seeming like everyone I had ever known was talking about it nonstop! I caught some of the third series on TV by chance and quite liked it. The storyline seemed fairly complicated and as I had missed a few and didn't really know what was going on it was harder for me to get into. I was kindly bought this box set as a present and sat down one day just expecting to watch the first one. Before I knew it I was addicted and could not stop watching them! I am told the format is the same as the first two series, just with an almost completely new set of people. The story follows a group of people as they go ... Read the complete review

I am a huge skins fan and have watched every episode of every season, so when I say series 3 was a disappointment, you know it's true. Series 3 by itself is actually quite good but when compared to the first 2 series of skins that were incredible, it just brings shame to the skins saga. Skins series 3 involves a completely new cast, apart from Effy Stonem and her friend Pandora which we see in series 1 and 2. The new main characters include 3 best friends James Cook, Freddy Mclair and JJ Jones. James just wants to have a good time and party, Freddy is the weed smoking, skate boarding cool guy and JJ has high-functioning autism and low basic social ... Read the complete review
