      A fantastic series

This amazing dvd collection is something that I have owned for a while now. It covers six seasons of the L word series.

It features a group of friends who are all lesbians (with one bi sexual woman Alice), living their lives in West Hollywood. Its fiction by the way, but so many situations could relate to people going through the same thing. It covers weddings, deaths, births, breakups, and mad situations involving celebrities and lovers of the women.

The dvd collection is great as you can watch any season, any episode. It was around £50 but when Zavvi was closing down I got it for £25 which is a fantastic discount. There are 6 series, and 13 episodes in each series.

The main characters are Bette and Tina who are a couple, they end up having a baby and splitting up, getting back together and generally not making any decisions. Then theres Shane who is the town bike, and her best friend Jenny who comes out after meeting all of the group. Dana the tennis player is best friends with Alice who is bi sexual. Finally there is Kit who is straight and the sister of Bette, she runs the local lesbian cafe The Planet.

This series features loads of great celebrities and brilliant actors, most of which you will recognise in other series as this first started in 2004 - 2009.

There are sex scenes but they are very tasteful and more about the relationships of people rather than just being about enticing a male audience.

Try this if you want a series where you can really get to know the characters, to see glamour, drama and an insight into the mad world of the LA lesbian.
