      Very helpful

This series felt toned down to me and dragged alot

OK I have to admit right here and right now that I am a fan of The Only Way Is Essex. I missed all but a couple of episodes of it whist it was shown on the tv and the couple of episodes that I did see did prick my interest somewhat. For me I find it easy watching and of course if you do watch it you do have to be aware that alot of what you see is really made up for your watching pleasure.

I bought this set to follow on of course from Series 1 and 2 of which I already have bought and seen and was keen to continue and I bought it from Amazon, used but in good condition for about £4.00 (including postage and packaging). Its rated 15 due to some swearing and references to sex and at the beginning of each episode Denise Van Outen narrates and in total there are just 2 discs and you get no extras with this one.

      The Episodes:

Well of course we are back in Essex. Mark Wright has now left and there is no Amy Childs, Harry or Kurt which I have to admit I did miss. However we now have a few new characters such as Cara and Tom and Joey Essexs best friend Diags.

Lydia and Arg have now split up. Lydia wants to be single however is she telling the whole truth because Arg is saying thats not the impression he is getting with him still sleeping with her? Lauren Pope has just found out about the fact that her breast implants are causing women problems and wants them out to go bigger and new boy Ricky is causing quite a stir not only getting the backs up of several of the guys but the girls are falling at his feet.....and Lauren G seems quite smitten.

Lucy and Mario are still on and on with her wanting him, him not wanting her and the tables turning on him, Jess and Lauren G fall out and basically there is plenty going on in each episode amongst the backdrop of the outfits, the lavish parties and all the arguing!

      My Opinion:

Having watched Series 1 and 2 I was really disappointed with this series. With alot of big characters gone and those storylines vanishing, even with the new characters they just didn't hit the spot for me. I felt some of the episodes dragged quite a lot and that there were no little cliff hangers as there were in the previous series. Most of the bitching and fighting got rather toned down and even when Joey Essex and Ricky had a fight at the official opening of Lauren's blow salon it was all brushed under the carpet in the next episode. The only person I felt was still being herself was the fabulous Chloe and you got to see her in one of the episodes in Mummy mode which was eye opening for me lol.

I wasn't really all that impressed in this series and am hoping that Series 4 (which I am about to order!) is better than this one. Where as with previous series I was a bit glued and watched every episode back to back with this I watched a couple, turned off and went back to it a couple of days later. For me this was all a bit of a miss sadly with not as much spirit and punch as previous series.
