	Nottingham Trent University in general ... fairness with it being a city campus and with the majority of things being based within the main city postcode, you d never have to step foot in some of the "dodgier" areas of the city that have a bit of a reputation. If you do, just go in a group...its common sense really. For more information on the Union side of things the website is www.trentstudents.org and on there all this information can be found along with more academic advice and what to do on aspects such as finding a house in your second and third year, which Trent actively does to ensure students don t get ripped off. 	St Martin's College, Lancaster ... did my Geography degree here 1991-1994. Its a small Uni with almost a College feel. Everyone knows each other, which has its good and bad points. The course was well taught with many field trips in the local area and also to Holland. The local area is very condusive to Geog. as the coast is good and the mountains are closeby. St. Martins is now University of Cumbria, and has a site in London also. Bonuses include: located in the south of Lancaster City (not miles south like the Uni of Lancaster). Almost all first years are accomodated on site, and for later years there are plenty of houses to rent around the campus. Lancaster has a great selection of pubs and the nigh... 	University of Northampton in general ... night and usually not make it in for Mondays lecture, but just enough to pass...at the end of the day we knew we were there for a degree and it was clear in all our minds. I was always a very nervous person before university and to be honest useless with women, however, at university you just talk to people and everyone gets along. The University put on some great fresher parties so everyone could get to know each other (foam parties, dressing up parties, you name it we had it).
