Leannie1000 Liverpool John Moores University in general: ... to the city centre (including the brilliant Blue Angerl - a student must!). In general, I had a great time at uni, and I do have a good job now, but not sure that is particularly down to JMU! It did take me a while to find a job after uni. University is VERY exprensive (I still owe thousands) so try not to fall for the hype and make sure you go somewhere really good. It s not JUST about getting drunk after all!...

... started studying with the OU 4 years ago, and am about to start my next course. This will be my first full length course, and I have done 2 short courses. I already have a degree, but I was looking for something to keep my mind busy after the birth of my first child, and stumbled across their short courses. The short courses are particularly good value for money. The one I did at the time cost around £115 (I think it is more now) for a 12 weeks course. I got conferencing software, a personal tutor, online tutorials and online course materials. The course was mainly online, so you learned by posting work on a forum and discussing it online with other students. There wer...

... am currently at this university undertaking a graduate diploma in psychology and from my previous experience of being a student, this uni is very poor. I previously attended City university and Westminster university and in comparison to either universities, UEL is really, really bad. I am located at the Stratford campus which boasts about a newly built building and don t get me wrong is nice but has nothing to do with improving a person s education. The facilities are poor, the teaching is poor and transport to the uni is inconvenient. During my second week(which was the fifth week of teaching) I noticed that most of my lectures were in the older building which is now...

... considered the cities most prosperous region with many landmarks such as the Kelvingrove Art Museum and the Mueseum of Transport as well as a number of beautiful parks. Often coined as Edinburgh s cooler older cousin Glasgow is a brilliant city to be student with a huge number of pubs and clubs both in the West end the City Centre. The University itself is well thought of in academic circles with an especially acclaimed arts and law faculties. The main campus is of gothic architecture and one of the architectural landmarks of the city. For students there are two unions, the only University to have such a feature in the country. There is also good sporting facilities wit...
