However it never had the atmosphere of the horrible breeze block halls that I stayed in. And in Athlone there were 3 girls to every guy. Over all it was much more fun in the visually challenged halls. I also lived in Chestnuts, a small hall housing just 23 people on the A30 next to the Royal Ascot pub, this was also great and if you have trouble making friends, this is the hall for you, small and friendly but somewhat insular (I don’t know if this is still a hall) Which... more |

Holloway has a variety of accommodation form the magnificent Founders building to breeze block Athlone and Cameron buildings. Most people put Founders at the top of their list of choices and it is easy to see why. It’s an incredible replica of a French Chateau built by a guy who made his money from dubious medicines, and turned into a university upon his death.
