The accomodation in Southamton institute halls, is famously one of the most expensive in Britain around £69 pounds a week. and consists of several blocks that are in and around the city.

1) Lucia Foster Welch

Is the biggest set of halls for Southampton institute, Does not have ensuite showers (around 3 between 10) and is located in Sotons expensive ocean village area.

Good Points:

24 hr one stop conveience store
2 cinema's 1 art house 1 mainstream)
2 nightclubs within a 5 min radius (The Beach + New york new york both cheep and cheesy)
3 or 4 nearby pubs
Pool /arcade nearby
Friendly social atmosphere
Pizza + Kebab + harry Ramsden nearby.
Nice open plan dorms
Electrity included

Bad points:
Noise.
Mischief makers
Fire alarms going off at night
15 minute horrible walk to the institute

overall where I stayed last year the best place if your a social up all hours person. but bad if you want a quiet retreat from the storm

The Deanery

Good points

Nearer to the institute
More secure entrance
ensuite showers
less vandalised than LFW
Common room
electricity included

Bad points
No nearby ammenities
Depressing high rise feel
Less sociable

I'd hate to live here but better if you want to work a lot at home rather than the library, this is ok

Hamwic

Good points

Same as Deanery

Bad

Feels like a mental asylum/hospital
