Bournemouth University has, in my humble, yet educated opinion, one of the best student unions in the country. There is a bar on the main campus ("Dylan's, formerly known as "Dylan's Joint") which serves a variety of drinks and hot and cold food. Dylan's has two main advantages: it is situated about 60 seconds walk away from your lectures and it serves beer from £1.30 a pint. Bournemouth Uni also has it's own night club, known as "The Old Fire Station", and yes, it's built in an old fire station.
