The bars and entertainments at Oxford Brookes are excellent. It is usually more fun to stay at the university then to actually venture into Oxford itself. Harts bar is an odd colour which can hurt your eyes after a few beers but it is an excellent meeting place before going to Crunchy or any live gigs. Beer costs £1.55 a pint which isn't too bad considering you would be paying £2.30 in Oxford itself. Crunchy on a friday night is an excellent night featuring plenty of house music and 70's and 80's upstairs. Glam on a saturday although at a smaller venue (Morrell's Bar)is a brilliant night which plays the cheesiest 70's and 80's you could imagine. ...  Read the complete review
