I have to say that the student nights here in Derby are pretty good! The three main contenders are Zanzibar, McCluskeys and Destiny & Elite. All three usually have cheap drinks, although my personal favourites are Zanzibar for the dance it has upstairs, and McCluskeys for the cheese! Last year had the best student night @ Time, but this fizzled out and everyone went to McCluskeys. Whenever I go out on a student night (mondays and thurdays) I always end up making a fool of myself. The future club is one of the few clubs in derby that offers something different to the discerning clubber. On friday nights there is a happy mix of metal, punk, indie and all things alternatives, its never crowded and the people that go there are generally friendly when you get to know them. This is a night that thrives on its regulars.
