The Hispanic Society at Edinburgh University hosts Fiesta Latina nights 3 times per term. fiesta Latina is a dance night held at the Teviot Union. There are salsa classes at 10pm and then the rest of the night is full of salsa, merengue, lambada and cha cha music. The crowds are varied ranging from students to mature people, beginners to professionals and the sober to the drunken. The party is alive and kicking. You should expect about 400+ people in there every time. The cost is reasonable ranging from £2.50 - £4.50. The moment I entered the largest part of Edinburgh student union I was amazed. The bulding is comprised of a massive dome at its centre and various off shoots containing pool rooms, a cloakroom, an arcade room, many various bars and I think a few offices and shops which obviously weren't open on a saturday night. Upstairs is a vast room with a sound system which out ranks most private culbs I've been in and plays host to a number of top D.Js and bands, the former being what I was there for.
