I am what you could politely call a mature student, possibly even a perpetual student. I studied for, and got, my degree at The University of Huddersfield, and I am currently studying for my MSc there. One of the top ten best nights of my life was at Eden, the club attached to the student union at Huddersfield. I had just resigned from my executive position cold-calling from the phone book for SafeStyle UK, a local double glazing firm. I had lasted an amazing 2 hours before torrents of abuse from irate pensioners had made me reconsider my prospects with the firm. Huddersfield is not well known for its nightlife but i can tell you now that it can cater for almost any tastes. From 70's discos at Flares nightclub, to 90's trance at the larger clubs you can find your niche. About the only thing you will not find is a 'torture garden' type club, well i have not found one anyway!!! There are loads of pubs in Huddersfield. From the universities own student venue, there are an astonishing number of pubs within stumbling distance. It makes pub crawls so early!!!
