Advantages: cheap booze, good atmosphere

Disadvantages: not open as late as the union

Located underneath Southside halls, Southside bar is about the same prices as the union - i.e. very cheap. However, I think its a much better place to drink. If you are or have been staying in Southside, you will already know this, as you probably live there <g>

The other good thing about Southside is that it is not exclusively student. So for those of you who do have friends at other universities or who aren't in universities, you can bring them all along for a nice cheap drinking session.

Also there is not as much as a crush as in the union, so you do actually have a chance of getting a seat.

And on Sundays there is a quiz night, so get together a team and come along!
