Advantages: good teaching, nice area,

Disadvantages: rubbish social side, computer facilities

A great place to get a degree with really good teaching for those who can motivate themselves. Set in a wonderful location in the heart of London, UCL has some great facilities. However, the Union side of things is really disappointing and the college's bars leave a lot to be desired. Heavy restrictions on numbers mean large queues to get in and then get to the bar. But being in central London there are lots and lots of other places to go. Computer facilities are not good. Old machines that operate slowly and there is a definite shortage of available PCs. Helpdesk support however is very good and you do not have to pay for printing services.

Overall, a really good place to study but lacking on the social side and let down by substandard computing facilities.
