There are lots of lovely parks in Southampton and so it is called the green city (just take a wonder down the declining dock area if you agree with that), which is about the only pleasant thing about Southampton. Clubbin-wise is really bad, I am used to trendy clubs in Manchester. The main student holes are Ikon at Leisureworld on a Wednesday and New Yorks on a Monday and Thursday. Southampton has loads of pubs to offer and since West Quay (big post-modernist neo-classic indoor shopping centre) has opened up many of the shops in the high street have moved in there and new bars have opened up in the high street. Now all we need is a club in the centre of town, what a good idea? There are lots of mini-indoor shopping places. Unfortunately we lost Pierre Victore to Jongleurs comedy club. Ah well. One thing you can say about southampton it's dedication to all forms of consumtion of the leisure variety. Not only do we have one of the largest malls in Europe (west Quay) we also have the Uk's first "youth" mall (Bargate centre) we also have 3 cinema's (a total of 18 screens!). And loads of clubs pubs and bars. Most popular are the lizard Lounge sotons mosts trendiest hangout, walkabout an ozzie pub with one of the largest tv screens for sport ever to grace a bar or pub.
