Newest Review: ... night and as far as I know Friday caters to the dance scene although I didn't go myself. Bonded Warehouse - This is situated next to the Panns Bank halls of residence which is where I stayed. It is based on two floors, the top being the bar and downstairs having 3 pool tables and a couple of arcade machines. Prices roughly the same as Manor Quay but the Bonded Warehouse seemed more of a quiet place to chill out. Wearmouth Hall - Visited here once for a quick drink. Quite small and seemed to be a dinner hall that doubled up as a bar at nightime. Quite small and not as good as Manor Quay or Bonded Warehouse. City Tavern - started ... more

A few weeks ago I visited my friend at Sunderland University for a few days. During the time we went out both to the University bars and around the town, so I decided to give my opinion on the places we visited: Manor Quay - This is the main university bar/nightclub. We visited on a Wednesday night which was 70s/80s night (typical student thing). Good friendly atmosphere and cheap beer around £1.30 a pint. They Had special offers such as bottles of Fosters for £1 which I thought was great value. The Manor Quay also caters for many different tastes.
