Berlin Free University

If you want to study medecine for a semester or 2 in Germany, I suggest to try to get a place at Heidelberg or Marburg university. Heidelberg is a very traditional university for studying medecine in Germany; I think you can compare it to your Oxford or Cambridge. The university of Marburg got the first price in the last ranking of all universities. It is rather a small university, well-know for the good relationship professor-student in every subject. Furthermore, I suggest to avoid the universities of Berlin (1. The free u., 2. the Humboldt u.)and Hanover, they do not really have a good reputation! I have studied at this University and it was one of the biggest things in my life until now. I will never forget it. The University itsself is huge it is amazing how many buildings are included. The surrounding of the university is very nice (Dahlem is a very rich area), there are many parks where you can enjoy learning in the summer. What I liked most is the atmosphere, the people are relaxed and enjoy studying there. I think Berlin is a nice place for studying, because there are a lot of clubs and pubs, beer gardens... and there are a lot of flats which are not so expensive as in London.
