There are such a vast range of courses that are available and I really do believe that you are never too old or to young to pick up learning again. To start with I undertook two courses - which to be honest, I wouldnt really recommend as it was a bit of a struggle! But they were openings courses - which are the ideal way to find your feet with learning again and to gently ease yourself back into the mode of submitting assignments, completing work to deadlines and managing your time between working full time (which I w... more |

Having been made redundant last year I decided that it was time for me to 'grow up' and get a real job! So, I looked to the Open University for suitable courses in order to further myself, not only work wise but also on a personal level. It is some 10 years since I left full time education and although I have undertaken some training courses and modules along the way I have not been privy to any 'hard graft' study, so to speak. I applied for the OUcourse, and won a place, despite not having a first degree, but had worked in management for many years. I was able to start with the foundation course, which was Foundations of Senior Management. The course comprised of four main ... Read the complete review

Coming from a Humanities background and being in a management role at work, I am studying with the Open University Business School. I have finished the Professional Certificate in Management and am now studying for the Diploma with a view of progressing towards the MBA. I can honestly say that the courses are 100% spot-on, almost everything I am learning I can utilise in my daily work as a Manager, much to the benefit of my company and of my team who are profiting from the people and development and training focus of the courses. Staff at the OU are competent and knowledgeable and although I came across some odd tutors the majority is very switched on and very ... Read the complete review
