CoursesNewest Review: ... excellent. There is a good mix of continuous assessment (Coursework) and examinations, and there is a good range of skills taught. Basically, this course teaches the fundamentals of Computer Science, and programming in C, as well as concentrating on things like console programming using the Sony Playstation. It also includes modules that encourage us to develop our creativity, and our efficiency within a team. There is also the chance to include modules in marketing or Japanese language and culture. The Japanese modules are excellent for anyone hoping to work for the likes of Sony, Sega etc, and they really do give an excellent insight... more |

Well, I am now coming up to my second semester of my third year on the BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology course, which is the only one of it's kind in this country. That is the main reason that I chose to come here. Actually, to be honest it is the ONLY reason why I decided to come here! I was very lucky to be accepted onto the course in the very first year that it was run, and that means to some extent that those of us that are now on the third year of the course have been used as guinea pigs for those coming on to the course after us, but I have to say that overall the course has been excellent.
