Advantages: good for social ife

Disadvantages: not so good for study!

This review isn't really about the academical/course side of Napier, more about the surroundings for people considering uni there.
Hmm Napier University.... Well.... A lot of people say bad things about Napier University... They have low entrance levels and a high drop out rate.... I personally dropped out of Napier University but I feel that this was due to the marvelous city I was in. I think Napier University is only good to them among us with very high self control... I personally couldn't resist the temptation of going out 7 nights a week!

University Facilities are very good, Napier has a large library on its main campus (Merchiston) and smaller libraries on its smaller campuses (Craighouse, Craiglockhart, Cannan Lane and a few others). Napier also has a massive 24 hour free to access computer suite! (Well worth a 5am drunken visit now and again!!) So I can't fault the Uni's facilities! (I'm not going to lie, I didn't attend class enough to comment on University staffing sorry)
University accomodation at Napier is excellent at Napier, I mean OK it is a little bit shoddy, but it is the best place to make new friends, and the accomodation is all placed in excellent, city centre locations (I personally lived in Riego Street and I had an amazing year there). Unlike other Universities, Napier doens;t have halls, it has 4/5 bedroom student flats (Oh OK, glorified halls). They are a bit pricy but well worth it in my eyes. Also, all of the Uni flats are near bus routes to every Uni campus, so no need for horribly early mornings.

Finally, my topic of choice, Edinburgh student night life! I cant fault it! There is a different student club night on every night of the week, with great priced drink promotions and great student games! I believe there is a night club there that every person would adore! I certainly loved a few (Lava and Ignite, Stereo and Subway Westend to name a few)

On the other hand, Napiers poor reputation is because it has some degrees not quite as good as some more well known Universities (eg. Edinburgh, although this offers more of a traditional degree), but I believe it is a good Uni in general.

My opinion of Napier? Go there if you want some fun, a fair bit of banter, and a degree (if you have more control than me)
