Advantages: location
Disadvantages: halls
Studied Law at Nottingham Trent four years ago now and have to say i really enjoyed my time there.
I stayed my 1st year in the Maltings Halls of Residence which i thought were terrible and wouldnt recommend that area of Nottingham. Far too far from the university and not the safest of places to walk around.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and tutorials were always interesting - the course books helped a lot and condensed a lot of information into a 50 or so page booklet.
Lectures were another story and really quite boring.
In the 2nd and 3rd year you can choose options which are much more interesting.
The library for Nottingham Trent is great and well stocked, there are also lots of computers to use free of charge.
The location of the campus cannot be beat - central nottingham. There are lots of places to go for lunch and its easy to nip and get bits and bobs from the shops.
Overall i think this is a great choice of university and would recommend it to anyone thinking about applying. The standard of education is good and improving - you wont be disappointed!
Summary: great university

- 18/04/09 Lots of students from my school end up studying in Nottingham, most at Nottingham Uni and the odd one at Trent. |
