Why not take up the challenge? (Open University in general)

Advantages: There are so many, I really cannot list them all Disadvantages: There are none I have studied with the OU for nearly 6 years, and achieved my BA(Hons) Open Degree last July. It is really difficult to put into words the amount that the OU has done for me over these years. I was an 'achiever' at school, but left feeling academically unfulfilled. A number of things had happened in my life, and the OU came along at just the right time. I started with some of the 10 point short courses and then thought I'd have a stab at a 60 pointer at Level 1. Little did I think then that now I would have my degree and be working towards the Masters Degree in Education. The quality of the materials produced is absolutely fantastic. The support structures are secure and encouraging. There is a great deal of flexibility and plenty of advice to help you choose. I really cannot recommend the institution more highly. When I went to the Barbican in London to collect my degree, I was simply overwhelmed. As a result of my studies, five friends are now studying. Talk to someone who has already been there; they will only be full of praise. Summary: If you haven't tried it, give it ago. |
