I am now on my second course with the Open University, with the first course being DB123 you and your money, and I am now awaiting for B123 Introduction to Business to start. I found the Open University, a great place to study with, as each course is tailored to that subject, their is a lot of information available about the course, so ... Read the complete review

Don't recognise any of the other reviews I'm afraid.
I found the business course I completed a complete rip off with the university providing little support and far,far lower quality than my previous degree and professional qualification.
Pompous detatched tutors and slightly desperate students all left a thoroughly forgettable and expensive £3000 experience I would rather forget.

W200 Understanding Law This is a level two course (second year of an undergraduate degree) which forms part of the compulsory law course for a LLB (Hons). The course should be studied before the other compulsory courses as it provides an overview of the ideas that will be encountered in later courses. The ... Read the complete review

~My experience with the OU~ I have been studying with the Open University (OU) for 2 and a half years now and would recommend it to anyone. I started studying with them because I fell pregnant at 19, and had to withdraw my successful application as a police officer, but didn't want to fall into limbo and be a stereotyped young ... I've been doing Open University courses for a few years now, and it's something that I get a lot of people sending me questions about, so I thought I'd write a review about it to help answer some of the frequently asked questions. ===How do you study?=== You get sent course books that were written especially for your course and you ... Was charged a lot of money for a few books and a DVD and just felt like a number on a conveyor belt without any study support. I passed W100 the law foundation course without any problems. After that I wanted to pass W200 and W201 so that I could have a Diploma in English Law, but it felt as if they passed me for W200 so they could have the money, ... Read the complete review

Having taken the science foundation course years ago, I was pleased with the OU as the tutor seemed to be passionate about teaching and encouraged the students. He had spent plenty of time to hand write feedback for the assignments. As I was encouraged from my previous experience, I decided to sign up for the law course and it was completely ... Having recently completed a language course with the Open University I thought I'd share my experience of the OU with you. I'm going to try to keep the course information minimal however some of my info is specific to language courses and I will try to make this obvious. Having to spend my working week away from home I decided that I ... Read the complete review

I want to say that I would like to give a negative review of the Open University. I have just studied an Openings Course with the Open university, and whilst it wasnt that bad, it wasn't exactly that great either. I think the Open university has the ethos of charging their students loads of money, and getting away with delivering very ... Read the complete review

I started studying with the OU 4 years ago, and am about to start my next course. This will be my first full length course, and I have done 2 short courses. I already have a degree, but I was looking for something to keep my mind busy after the birth of my first child, and stumbled across their short courses. The short courses are ... I signed up for the Open University about 10 months ago after thinking that there was something missing. I'm married, have 2 beautiful girls, a good job, but after quitting University when I was 18, I always felt like I hadn't achieved to my full potential. I don't have any hobbies so to speak, so I thought this would be an ideal oportunity to do ... Read the complete review

I only did one thing with the OU and that was the YASS scheme for college students (AS/A2). So I did this course with the OU paid for by my sixth form college I believe it was called Vandalism in Cyberspace. Anyhoo, my experience with the OU... Well it was very good, there was a great helpline and although they can't resolve all ... Read the complete review

I chose the OU after I finished my A levels and found it hard to get a job with the limited work experience I had, I figured that I would progress further and faster if I were studying and working (I was right!). I started with the OU a few years ago and am now half way through my chosen honours degree, and am starting a new course in ... Read the complete review

In order to fill some of my evenings last year (before I discovered dooyoo!) I decided to take a course with the OU. I've always been inteersted in Law but never really had the option to study it so it seemed like the ideal choice. I enrolled on the rather grand sounding "Certificate in Legal Studies". The course is a precursor to LLB ... Read the complete review

As a 6th form student, I was offered the opportunity by my school to be funded to complete a young applicants course run by the Open University.
