Advantages: Beautiful, Good transport links

Disadvantages: Expensive living

I graduated form Royal Holloway in 2002 and spent three very enjoyable years there. Royal Holloway is situated in Egham in Surrey with good rail links to London. The campus itself is absolutely beautiful, the Founders building (as shown in the picture) is an iconic building of it's time and is truly breathtaking when you get up close to it. The Halls of Residence were being replaced while I was there and having been back up recently they now look fantastic. The food and services available on campus are excellent, with a decent size shop, a NatWest bank and a book store all on site.

There is also an excellent students union which has events most evenings and the campus has it's own pub The Stumble Inn which usually has a great atmosphere.

The course choice at Royal Holloway is vast and the resources (ICT, LIbrary etc) are very good. There is a lot of local accomodation available for those who prefer not to stay on campus along with excellent amenities in Engelfield Green, Egham and Staines.

Summary: Great place to spend a few years!
