One of the societies, for example, that I'm involved in is going on a road trip to Timbuktu this summer. You can find your own village within London, with the main building being in Russell Square and the main halls being close to Islington. SOAS is what seems to be a typical univeristy experience; whereby the students spend their time arguing over Marxism whilst having a smoke. SOASians are known for their political persuasion to the left which means there is an active union always protesting.
