The university of Bath sports facilities are absolutely fantastic. There is a newish 50m pool which was used (if I can remember that far back) for the Junior Olympics which were held in Bath around 1996, it is freezing. There is a 25m pool too. There is a brand new gym which does cost a bit to join, but you can pay individually or you can pay for the year, I haven't tried it, I stick to the older free one! There are thousands of sports cubs of all kinds, I am a member of the karate club, which I have been told has grown to about 150 members this year. You won't get better sports facilities on any other campus in the UK. Bath has it all, from Archery to hot air balloning: all tastes and levels of skill are catered for. The clubs an societies require a small fee and you have to pay to rent out courts, but the pool and gym are absoulutly free and in excellent condition. With millions of pounds worth of lottery money being pumped in to them, the facilities can only get better, another new pool, a bobsleigh run..... whatever next?! ...  Read the complete review
