There has never been a better time to come to St. George's Hospital Medical School. There have been many recent changes and modifications made in order to score highly in a recent inspection. So, for a career in Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Biomedical Sciences - George's is a good choice. Mention 'Tooting' and people pull a face. But for me, it's as good a place to live and study as anywhere else in London. I'm currently a second year student at George's so I have to start by saying that my experience of the school is based only on the preclinical years. That being said, most of the clinical students seem to love the place as well so I can't be far wrong! As medicine is a qualifying degree, the vast majority of the courses are very similar and I suspect that George's is no better and no worse than any other in London. The real advantages lie in the medical school's situation within the hospital itself.
