London college of printing (Back Hill) (University of the Arts London in general)

Advantages: Fun relaxed atmosphere Disadvantages: no social events, the tube smells
This college has a great atmosphere but the main problem with the London Institute is that it has no social events, mainly because the colleges are so spread out. the bar at back hill is ok and cheap the only worrying thing is the faulty air conditioning which sparks every now and again! studing in London is fantastic though as once you are in the centre everthing is compact and, depending how fit you are, can be reached by walking. being a student of any of the london uni's or colleges gives you access to ULU where they have big name bands and DJ's on a regular basis. The main advice I'd give to anyone applying to the London Institute is to start looking for accomodation early and if you are going to back hill lcp then the best areas are north and east, Islington is convenient but expensive although you can get a bargin if you really look, I live in Dalston which is just down the road form Islington and very convient for getting to college. Hackney is also a convientent area and starting to become more trendy and less run down but be careful there are still some dodgy parts. If you are unsure ask the accomodation office for advice, they are really helpfull. Summary: |
