simstv Open University in general: ... started to study with the Open University several years ago. After leaving school at the age of 16 (to become an apprentice engineer) I had several regrets in notgoing onto full time education. I am now 29 and at the age of 26 I decided to go back to some part time education. Day release or night school was of no use as I worked a shift pattern therefore my attendance could not be guaranteed. There are many di...

... have read a lot of bad reviews on this website for Salford University, and to be honest they do NOT do it justice. I applied for a lot of the top uni s, but missed the grades, and so opted to attend Salford Uni, and I am so glad I did. I am doing a degree in Biology, and it is everything i could have hoped for. The course is structured and interesting, the lecturers are very helpful, and yet still make time to get to know the students (through pub trips, actual uni trips, and just general conversation). The lab lessons are also very interesting and well planned. I have also met an amazing group of friends, who i have clicked with, and it feels like we ve been friends ...

I found the Open University, a great place to study with, as each course is tailored to that subject, their is a lot of information available about the course, so you may fancy studying one subject, but when you look at the information its not for you. The price of courses vary, from apr £110 for an openings course, which is a taster course, through to Law courses, which are more expensive. There is funding available, so you may find that you are eligable for full fee waiver or a partial fee, I was...

... this is one of the most expensive courses offered by the Open university. The cost is high but so is the cost of the legal text books provided and the time of the professionals who write the course. Some have claimed the course is not value for money however I disagree. Yes it is expensive (some are eligible for funding, see the Open University website) but as said the materials are expensive and each student is assigned a tutor, a qualified legal professional who s time is not cheap. My Experience I really enjoyed studying this course, the materials were easy to follow and well set out. There was a lot to do, the course runs for 8 months and the assignments seemed ...
