Advantages: Good ambiance, not very crowded

Disadvantages: a bit far from the city, not city live in the surroundings

AS a former student (5 years) of this university I can say that this is still one of the best universities in Madrid.
Located 15 KM North of Madrid, the university has the right ambiance and a the teachers and offer of courses are well recognited in Spain.

The UAM is communicated by bus to Plaza de Castilla in Madrid (around 20 minutes) and by train (cercanias), so even if is not in center madrid, the access to the university is very easy and fast.

The UAM has a big amount of international students: both from the Socrates/Erasmus programm and for several other exchanges mainly with universities of South America.

If you are thinking of doing an Erasmus in Madrid, this could be a good choice
