excellent uni, great city (University of Bath in general)

Advantages: great courses and friendly people

Disadvantages: on top of a very nig hill-not fun in heels

I was at university in bath for 4 years (2001-2005) and LOVED it! I wanted a university that was easy to get to London from (only 1hr 30m on the train into Paddington, £19 advance or £15 with a yp railcard) but far enough away from my parents that they wouldn't alway be 'popping' around (in the end they hated the one way system in Bath so much they didn't come down very often).

One of the great thing about Bath is the slightly different degrees that have, most of them are undergraduate masters degree giving you a head start as soon as you leave uni. Most have a placement year (or 2x 6months) this is what got me my first job over all the other graduates! and some have an elemanet of combination eg some of my friends did elec eng with psychology or Chem with management. Great if you're not sure what you want to do!

The campus is s little way out of town (up a rather big hill) and most 1st years live on campus a combination of flat with en-suites or houses with a large kitchen for everyone, a cleaner comes round every day, and the campus has loads of facilitates (shops;banks;bars) Because its a fairly small uni every lunch time you'll be able to walk into the bar and find someone to sit with (but its easy to hide away in the library if you want) but the town is so close its doesn't feel small!

oh and they have a great football team (in the FA cup) coming with that is a stupid amount of sports stuff and the only bobsledge track in the country!
