Advantages: Friendly, loads to do and great teaching

Disadvantages: Traffic can be a little bad but walking everywhere is easy enough.

Derby University is an amazing place to study and Derby itself is a really great place to live.
The teaching quality at the University is great and the lecturers are always there for you if you need extra help or are wanting to try different things.
The facilities at the University are great, no matter what course you choose! The new Markeaton Street campus is extremely modern and a really fancy place to study. The equipment available there is all completely up to date and all free to use for students!
Derby as a place to live has been really great. Its a big enough city to give everyone a real taste of grown up live, but is still small enough to have a real homely feel and means you can walk everywhere which is always nice!
The nightlife is amazing in Derby and you can find yourself having an amazing mix of nights without spending too much.
Derby University students union put on so many amazing student nights that give great deals, offers and entertainment, so you're never short of something to do.
There's so much to do even when you're not learning or sleeping too! Like the new Westfield shopping centre which has everything from shopping and eating out to a gorgeous cinema! It really is a perfect place to live!
The last thing I would mention about Derby University is that the student halls are really good! I've been to a lot of Unis and just the thought of living in most of them made me shiver! The halls at Derby are clean, spacious and really nicely designed, making the student experience here just perfect!
