Advantages: fun, friendly, cheap alcohol and the best time of your life
Disadvantages: small shopping center but very close to Leicester, Nottinghah and Manchester...all a short trian ride away
I am currently a third year at the university of derby and i have to say...WOW!
since the moment i came here for the open day i fell in live with it.
The university is small but very very friendly. Everyone says hi and you get to know so many people.
The halls of residents are all very modern and very fun to be in. They are safe and any problems are delt with ASAP! Also, if you have a computer you can get connected to he universities network to your room for a one of price of £30. from this you get FREE access to the internet 24/7!
Night life is great. There is somewhere to go every night of the week to get aboslutly trollied or you can just chill at the local SU. There are lots of student nights with great deals like buy 1 get 2 free and 60p shots.
I also believe that although the university, academically is towards the bottom of the league table i think it will be climing in the next years to come. It is a relativly new uni that is still getting of the ground and i believe when it does it wil be up there.
The univeristy of derby also has one of the biggest Student unions in the contry and there is usually something going on to get involved in so you will never be bored... unless yu want to be.
I would reccomend the university of derby to anyone ... trust me, you wont be sorry you came here.
