Advantages: Central location, good facilities, majority of lecturers can keep your attention during lectures

Disadvantages: Like any uni, the course goes too quickly!

I studied at the University of Portsmouth for four years doing a BA (Hons) Business Studies degree. During my time there the business school was moved into the City centre, alongside the other university buildings. This means that everything is now in a central position and there is no need to bring your car to the City. I chose Portsmouth Uni mainly because of the location. I wanted to live by the sea and must be happy with the location because I still live there now, two years after graduating. The university itself is going from strength to strength with an improving reputation. New students won't be disappointed with good sporting facilities and a relatively new student union. If you get bored of the Union, Portsmouth has several areas full of bars and clubs; this means there is a student night every night. On top of that there are clubs covering almost everything you can think of so there is no excuse for not getting involved in university life. The students come from a variety of backgrounds and a large percentage are foreign students. During my time there I found everyone friendly, from the other students to the lecturers and support staff. I look back at the four years with fond memories and have made friendships that I'm sure will survive the test of time.
