Advantages: Oceanography and quality halls of residence

Disadvantages: Out-of-town. Poor sports facilities

Southampton has spent lots of money ensuring all facilities are of top quality. Halls of residence are comfortable and look very good (unlike others I have seen). IT facilities are adequate and the student union is one of the best I have seen( there are many floors containing everything the average student could need).

However, a lack of sporting facilities is the only thing which is detremental to Southampton. However, I would still recommend this place and it is especially renound for its oceanography department, which is especially situated on the coast away from the main university.

It's out-of-town location also doesn't appeal to me. However there is a great atmosphere and definitely worth checking out on their open day.
