Strathclyde uni is a cool place if you're into geting totally ratarsed frequently and meeting glaswegians. it is friendly if not a bit detached but my advice is to make friends quick and stay away from the union (it seems to breed galloots). Also if you are going and are going to stay in halls then be very afraid if your choice is baird hall. The place is a degenerated hole , although is interesting on the outside, but on the bright side is totally and utterly mad and you will not be able to avoid making alot of friends. If you want a true student experience then Baird is for you basically. It's situated in the drinking capital of glasgow Sauchiehall St and has allthe necessary ingredients for a truly unforgettable first year. All in all strathclyde uni is a haven of paradox - quite staid in a sort of former poly kind of way, whilst reknownd for academic excellence, full of arseholes who are unfriendly yet friendly. Bizarre but an experience non the less. Sorry if i put you off, make your own minds up.
