After reading the reviews on this site i feel compelled to write my own, less generous review of Aberystwyth Uni.

When i came to aber on the open day i instantly fell in love with the beautiful scenery and the friendly staff, over the summer i was optimistic about aberystwyth i felt i would enjoy my time at uni there! alas this didnt happen...

freshers week was awful the union was dire and the main events quite pathetic compared to other uni fresers week.

I have made some really good friends here and the people of aberystwyth are friendly and helpful, where else would bus deivers actually stop halfway down a road to allow a student late for their lecture on the bus?

My main problem is that if you arent a lover of sport there is simply nothing to do i have had great nights out on pub crawls and society nights out but after a while it starts to become predictable and boring.

my advice to perspective students is to go to the open day and recognise that if you arent into sports and they arent into pub crawls every other day ten aber isnt for them.

Aber isnt awful its just not for everyone.
