Advantages: Beautiful place

Disadvantages: transport out not very good

I did my degree at Aberystwyth University, and loved the place so much I am still here ten years later! That happens to an awful lot of people here!
Aber was originally going to be my reserve as they had gave me such a low offer, but we came to one of the open days just to know what it was like if I missed my first choice. But I fell in love with the place and put it as my first choice instead!
Aber is a beautiful little seaside town, and the campus is set on the hill, with beautiful views of the town and sea. The campus is landscaped beautifully.
Because the area is small there tends to be a lovely atmosphere on the campus, the people being very friendly, entertainment on site etc. Accomodation is no problem here, and I think the standards are very good.
I loved Aberystwyth, and never regret coming here. It is isolated though, modern shops are only just penetrating here, and to get anywhere you seem to have to travel for two hours before you can even start your journey proper! But so long as you like being here, that isnt too much of a problem!

I know an awful lot of people that did the same. I myself only dream of the "good ol' times".
But I do have to say the Campus is a bit more confusing than that. I remember on my first day getting lost completely and not finding my way back to Cwrt Mawr. Maybe it's just me though.

I understand exactly what you are talking about. I did my degree then my MA there, loved the place.
