I you don't have a car then North Wales is pretty boring in general. The buses suck so you can't get anywhere interesting.
As for Bangor itself, well apart from loads of pubs and a couple of rubbish clubs, there is nothing here to do at night. The scenery is nice on a clear day from on top of a hill.
Plus the Student Union bars (Time, Main bar, Jocks) are well expensive. Its often cheaper to drink elsewhere. The nights they put on at Time and Mainbar every week are generally pants. They are too middle of the road and the bouncers are c**ts. There is the occasional good night like Racubah or Badaboom, but they only come round once a month.

Anyway, don't come here if you can't drive or don't like doing outside activities. Also don't come here if you don't like being ripped off by private companies that own half the union.

Summary: Don't come here unless you like being bored
