Advantages: Excellent standards of education and facilities
Disadvantages: A bit on the outskirts of Bristol
I am probably very biased having gone to the University of the West of England and coming from Bristol but I have to say it was excellent.
I was based on the main campus where the facilities were second to none...what with library, gym etc. In particular the Bristol Business School (where I went) has a very good reputation for standards throughout the UK.
As for social life, well theres nothing really to say...its pretty good!! What with the bar and what have you.
In fact one of the only real pains about UWE is its location as far as the centre of Bristol is concerned. Its a bit on the outskirts so travel becomes a bit of an important factor. If you can't drive or have not got a car then you are going to need to rely on the buses (unless you have a place in halls that is). If your'e going out in the evening then your'e either going to have to walk or get a taxi back.
Other than that I can't really fault the University of the West of England and had a brilliant time when I was there.
