University of Westminster in generalNewest Review: ... of the work here was spoon fed except for the important points on how to write a University standard text for example, which they teach you nothing on, or how to reference, which they also teach you nothing on. One teacher did not know that the Liberal Party had ever had power in Britain!!!! How can a teacher not know this?!? Another teacher lost my essay twice, then asked me to email it over to him, which he lost on his system somehow, he then asked me to go to University to hand it to him personally, which he lost AGAIN!!!! I then submitted it by email, post, in the essay box and it was already on the University system that looks for pl... more |

Possibly the worst University in the world. I went to Westminster in my first year of Uni and leaving couldn't have come soon enough. My first choice was Queen Mary's but I failed to get the A in History to get in, although I got the other grades. I had decided against moving away, so my other choices were void. I spoke to a good friend of mine and she recommended Westminster to me as she was also going there. I rang up and told them my grades and they were shocked that someone with my grades would want to go to their University. This is when bells should have rang for me but wanting to stay in London there were very few other ... Read the complete review

Having been a student at Westminster for almost a year now i feel i am in a good position to pass judgement on it. Before i applied there i was looking everywhere for reviews on it and well everyone made out it was an amazing uni, alas it is not. The teaching is poor and the social side is awful compared to other uni's even those in london, the only reason i am still sane is because i live in london and have friends here. The only good thing about it is that it is in the heart of central london and considering i am living at home in n.london i am enjoying my time in central london, other than that i would not recommend this uni at all, and would say that there are better ones out there.

Despite it's high ratings amongst the academic community, you might want to think twice about giving this university your cash if you have to pay tuition fees yourself. I was a post-graduate student at the University for several years. About the only time the University ever showed an interest in me was when it came time to for me to pay my £6000 a year in tuition fees. I was offered very little academic support or encouragement, despite publishing lots of work and being an internationally recognised leader in my field. I was never given a list of courses I might be interested in attending, was passed back and forth between various ... Read the complete review

I started the University of Westminster in 2000, and I've been there for 2 years now, and i'm just starting my final year of study. Location: The University is located in central London, which is great,, because there's all the shops etc all around you, and the buzz of London at full force! The one disadvantage is to your wallet or purse! its so easy to spend spend spend in the centre of London with the widest choice of shops in the UK. Westminster is a real multicultural place, and this is reflected in the university, as people from all over the world come here to learn. The University Course: When i started my course, i was to say the ... Read the complete review

For anyone looking for a media course to do at Uni, u cant go better than Westminster Uni. The place really is good for media...but thats not what i'm about to write about just now! Westminster Uni has several campuses, one of them is in Harrow. Unlike the name, no Harrow isnt in Central London..sorry! It is about 20 minuts away by tube however, and is really just your usual town. There isnt much of a nightlife in Harrow, but if your at the uni most students opt to go to the union bar, The UnderCroft, which is small but cheap...students tend to go to get tanked up on alcohol before hitting Area 51 the union's nightclub. Some special guests have performed ... Read the complete review
