Advantages: You learn for the future

Disadvantages: It cost a lot more than the colleges form the german goverment

Hello all,

I am a german study in Wedel. Hopefully I can tell you something that will help you about my college here.

I am studing Media information science on a private college in Wedel. Normally in Germany the Universities and collages are from the state so that you don't have to spend money. My college is different.

The professors on Universities and collages from the german goverment are still working. If they are not working well nobody is intersted.
Mostly the equipment is old and nobody is looking after the equipment.
Also on the most Universities are to many students...

Here in Wedel it's much better but you have to pay for it.

Another point is the very good reputation of Wedel. For example: All the stuff about internet is very new and Wedel was one of the first colleges in germany where you can learn all this.

It's programming and design. We are learning the programming languages in Pascal, Delphi, C, Java and sometimes specials like tcl/tk, pearl. Of cause HTML but there is more - XML.

For design we also a lot to do. Is the theory and a bunch of programms. Mostly of this stuff we do in projects, so that everybody learns different things in this way.

The projects are sometimes in cooperation with companies here in Hamburg. There we have a big adverdising film company directly in Wedel. In Hamburg we are working sometimes together with one of the biggest Film Studios in germany - Studio Hamburg. They are producing a lot of shows and tv movies...

I feel very well here. It's a lot to do and it's hard to study here but you learn a lot and important things.

I am not a student of Computer Science for Business Admistration so I don't have to go to the english lessons. Hopefulle you will not look so hard on my spelling...
