Belkin Compact Surge Protector:
... might ask when starting to read this review, "How can someone get excited about a surge protector?" Well, it goes without saying that many of us struggle with that spaghetti junction of wires tangled under our desks. Whenever I install a new set-up, things look neat for about five minutes. The moment I move something the cables seem to tangle themselves. Belkin have offered a lot of variants of surge p... Read the full review: Get your wires pointing the right way by davomrmac |

Belkin PureAV Isolator Home Theater Surge Protector ... Belkin PureAV Isolator Surge Protector does so much more than just provide eight surge protected power sockets. Designed for the home theatre market, it is just as suited to computer use, we take a look at what it has to offer. Nowadays, it seems like we live in a totally wired world, with many manufacturers now striving to bring us an UNwired world. Even if we manage to get rid of most of the wires in our set-ups, it is a forgone conclusion that all of our gadgets, whether home theatre, computer or gadget related, will all need power. Wireless power will never happen, as this is a bit dangerous :-) There are a lot of surge protector products available, and even fro... APC SurgeArrest ... spent a lot of money on my computer, and live in an area which is prone to electrical storms. There are also fluctuations in the flow of electricity in the area where I live which for the purpose of this review I will call "surges". We are also subject to something that perhaps is a rural problem, i.e. electrical cut outs. This was a major issue when I bought my computer, and five years on, I am still using this neat little gadget that protects my computer from damage by storms or differences in the power feed to the computer. It actually surprises me that a lot of my friends have not thought out the importance of having a gadget like this to protect what is... Read the full review: SAFETY FIRST. by thingywhatsit |

Belkin Surgemaster ... all know that we should always use protection at all times, but as it cost us money, we always put it off - as it will never happen anyway. Well back in June it did happen and I had a very anxious wait to see if my computer had survived with all its (un-backed-up) data intact. Well £45 later all was well - I had got away with just a dead modem. It could have been a lot worse. The Belkin Surgemaster seems to have it all covered. I have opted for the 75,000 amps model with 8 sockets, as I needed at least 6 sockets just for the equipment I have already got. The new swivel sockets are a good idea if you have some awkward placed leads. As well as 8 sockets for all elec...
