The PROTECT C. employs VFI topology to protect loads basically against all public grid disturbances. Its high-quality DSP even corrects periodic voltage distortion. Result: a clean sine wave voltage under all conditions.

Highly integrated circuitry reduces the component count and electrical connections; as does the robust IGBT module that is used instead of many individual MOSFETs. Fewer and more robust components increase reliability. An automatic bypass provides security during overloads.

A capable, two-stage battery charger ensures short charging times. Sophisticated battery management maximizes battery service-life. Discharge time is calculated and displayed to indicate the remaining available backup time for the UPS in the event of a mains outage.

Separate bar graphs for UPS loading and battery capacity plus a generously laid-out display provide a clear overview of the most important operational conditions. Important UPS data can be transmitted via relay contacts or RS 232 interface. The optional SNMP adapter allows for remote monitoring via WEB browser and a multi-server shutdown. CompuWatch shutdown and reboot software is available for implementing these features.

A power factor of almost 1 (> 0.98) based on the sinusoidal input current regardless of the output loads. This minimizes installation costs due to smaller wire cross sections and fuses.
