I bought one of these in September 2007 for my business. It was used to protect a critical monitoring workstation in our workshop. This monitoring workstation was admittedly not run continuously but the UPS was always connected to the mains supply to maintain charge to the battery.
In June 2008, when required for duty during a power outage the UPS would not turn on. Checks on the battery showed that it was fully charged and not the cause of the failure.
At the same time as this happened we had a much more important failure with the main workshop UPS, which was a 2kVA Reillo Dialog. On this occasion the fault was traced to a single battery cell faillure, requiring all 8 cells to be replaced.
In my ratings for this product, I have based my battery life, one star value, on the experience with the 2kVA model. As the model reviewed here failed before the battery.
We no longer use or recommend these UPS.
